Take a look at our classroom. Let’s get caught up in learning together and shine just like the real glowing jellyfish!

Week beginning 20th September

This week, the children have worked extremely hard on comparing numbers. We have looked carefully at one more and one less and used counting,  number tracks and resources to help our learning.

Week beginning 13th September

Another action-packed week in Year One. In History, we are learning about old and new toys. We have explored the materials that they are made of and made comparisons between toys. The children have thought carefully about the toys we have explored; some were played with long ago, some toys are new and some are a combination of both. Perhaps you can discuss with your child what your favourite toy was when you were 5 or 6 years old.

A snapshot of our busy week as artists, mathematicians, writers, readers and much more!

Year One Campfire Evening - 14th September

We all had a wonderful time with Mr Moore at our campfire evening.

Week beginning 6th September

Our first full week as Jellyfish class has been very busy. The children have continued to settle into new routines and impress us every day. We have even managed to fit in PE and Outdoor Learning, as well as lots of playing, reading, writing and counting. I think we will all be very tired this weekend. Well done, children. You have got off to a great start. 😀👍

Week One - 2nd and 3rd September.

Wow..what a fabulous start to the school year. The children have settled in beautifully and are very quickly adapting to their new environment and routines. We have enjoyed a fantastic couple of days together; getting to know each other, catching up with friends and even sharing some amazing creative homework from over the Summer holidays. Well done Jellyfish class, we are so proud of how you have settled into Year One.
