Our learning

Well done to Molly for receiving Star of the week!

Miss Holdaway was extremely impressed with your Kenning poem based from our visit to the SeaLife Adventure.

In History, we have been exploring the rise of the Roman empire. To help us understand the Roman invasion of Britain, we took on the roles of the Celts and Romans and we asked each other questions to gain an understanding of what life was like during this time.

In Panda class this week, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the SeaLife Adventure. We saw some wonderful creatures that were rather intriguing, and we even had the chance to watch the penguins be fed!

We had so much fun on our Santa dash this week! We all worked so hard and some of us even completed the track more than 10 times!

All the children produced such wonderful Christmas crafts this week! We have been so impressed with their efforts and perseverance.

We have had great fun beginning the festive celebrations in Panda class, and all really enjoyed our Christmas dinner!

This week, the children thoroughly enjoyed their Bikeability session and had a great time learning how to ride their bikes safely. We were so impressed with how well the children listened and it was lovely to see them working hard to practise the new skills they had learnt. Well done Panda class!

Today, we spent our afternoon reflecting on our first half term in Panda class and sharing all of our fantastic team work! We had a great PSHE lesson of working together to create posters explaining what a great a team looks like.

We enjoyed seeing Mickey, Minnie and Peppa wandering through the school this morning!

The children have enjoyed learning all about the Greek gods this week. To learn about their significance in the Olympics, the children went on a hunt to answer lots of questions linked to what they have learnt.

We all had lots of fun coming into school dressed as our favourite animal!

This week, we have been learning all about the Ancient Greek time period. The children worked as a group to to put key periods in history in order. During this lesson, we had a great discussion of some key periods of history.

Year 4 had a fantastic time at the Campfire. We enjoyed learning lots of new campfire songs!

We have been very busy this week and have started our week with a trip to Greece! For our brilliant beginnings, we all boarded a flight on  'Eastwood Airlines' to help us learn all about Greece and find out what makes it such a popular place to visit!

We have had a fantastic first full week back learning all about pandas. We have been enjoying reading a range of texts to find out interesting information about these inquisitive animals!
