Our learning

Well done to Leon for receiving Star of the week!

Miss Holdaway was extremely impressed with your computer coding skills and how well you taught what you knew to others in the class.

What a fantastic Sports Day we had! The children done a great job participating in all of the events, and we all had so much fun!

We have had a 'jam packed' week celebrating the Queen Platinum Jubilee. We created silhouettes of the Queen and had lots of fun making our own sandwiches to enjoy at our picnic.

On Thursday, we had our final swimming session. The children have had so much fun at swimming each week and it has been lovely to see their confidence in the water grow. They have all worked so hard with learning the techniques of swimming and their progress has been fantastic!

As this week has been walk to school week, we took part in an Eastwood day. We learnt about the importance of being active and how to remain safe. The children created their own PowerPoints to teach others what they had learnt.

Panda class enjoyed Disney day!

Year 4 had such an incredible time at the British Museum. We were so impressed of the sights we saw around London and felt completely amazed by the Museum building. We were able to see artefacts dating back to the Romans and Greece and learnt lots about changes in Britain.

The children were superstars the whole day and their smiles never left their faces! Well done Year 4!

This week, we have been learning how to make different shapes and letters through coding.

We could not have asked for a better start to the term, and we were very excited for Outdoor Learning on our first day back! In our session, we learnt lots about different tree types and how to classify different areas of nature.

We have been learning about Easter in our RE lessons. To show the story of Holy week children created their own stained glass window art.

We have had great fun this term designing and making our own catapults. We made the most of the sunshine and tested how far our catapults could launch. Some of us were very impressed with our designs!
