Nurture is the basis of our positive behaviour policy.  This policy has remained constant  since 2012, when Mrs Perman became the Headteacher. We expect all our children and adults  to care for each other, make positive choices, behave well, and show respect. We teach the children to understand that their actions do have consequences, and how important it is to have boundaries in life. This is an important part of growing up.

 

Everything we do promotes nurture, respect, equality and diversity. By modelling and teaching these values, we prepare our children to grow into good, responsible citizens of the future. They leave the school with a strong understanding of how they will be expected to behave in the wider world.

 

Our three main school rules are quite simple:

1. At Eastwood, we are kind to ourselves and others.
2. At Eastwood, we keep ourselves and others safe.
3. At Eastwood, we persevere with our learning.

We believe these are rules for life and not just school.
