Our School Day

The school building is open between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm.

The school office is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

The school provides a breakfast club from 7.40am with our after school provision ending at 5.30pm.

Children can come in to school from 8.35am. The school day begins at 8.50am and ends at 3.00pm.

This amounts to approximately 30 hours and 50 minutes per week.

Start of the day

The school gates are opened at 8:35am and the school registers are taken at 8:50am. There are lots of adults outside in the morning to greet the children. Class teachers stay in their classrooms so they can welcome and settle the children into class. Only children in Nursery or Reception can be taken to their classroom door. If you do need to discuss something with your child's class teacher, please email the office to arrange a meeting.

Any children that come into school after 8:50am will be marked as late. 

End of the day

The school gates are opened at 2:50pm and the children are dismissed at 3:00pm. Parents/carers with more than one child, collect the youngest sibling first. Children are not allowed to walk through school to their siblings classrooms to be dismissed. They are allowed to leave their classroom and meet their adult somewhere on school grounds but a letter of permission must be given to the child's class teacher.
