AUTUMN 1 TERM - SPORTING EVENTS
We came 3rd out of over 25 schools and the children received bronze medals! Our young bowlers had the best time travelling in the minibus to Basildon's Hollywood bowl and showed everyone their super bowling skills. All our children had the biggest smiles as they competed in the Panathlon bowling competition and coming third place was simply the icing on the cake, they deserved their medals that’s for sure. WELL DONE SUPERSTAR BOWLERS!
Well done to our year 5 & 6 girls football team at this year's girls football festival in September. By going undefeated for the whole competition, the girls were invited back to the main tournament on Friday 18th October. The girls were amazing again and came an incredible 5th place in a strong competition. For our year 6 girls it was the last football tournament after a few years of learning, having had the best time scoring some fantastic goals and performing so well as a team. Well done to all our girls this year.
Our first competition of the year was the table tennis competition. This was the first time Eastwood Primary School had attended this competition for many years and the children were simply fantastic. Against some strong opposition, all our young table tennis players won matches, and I am pleased to say our school now has its own table tennis tables for our children to play on throughout their time at Eastwood Primary School. We will definitely be returning for next year’s competition.
