The Pupil Premium is a government scheme that allocates extra money to children who are looked after by the local authority, those who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years and for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces.
Children in receipt of Pupil Premium are, at Eastwood, entitled to a 50% discount for residential visits and extended schools.
|How is the funding spent?|
The government does not dictate how we spend the pupil premium. But it does ask that the school employ new strategies that will help ‘narrow the gap’ and improve the attainment of these pupils.
