30.01.25 Old Leigh Trip Part 2 - Fun in Leigh Gardens

Viking and Anglo Saxon day

Campfire

Geography

In Geography, the children learnt about world trade through a practical activity. They made products on their tables and all children were given different packs to start with to represent different countries and their wealth. The market value for different products went up and down throughout the session. The money was then counted up and the children learnt about the different trades of the world. The children throughly enjoyed their afternoon.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief

English and Reading

The children used their inference skills to identify the activities and camp layout at Camp Half-Blood. They then produced some fantastic maps and leaflets in English using this information.

19.12.24 Gingerbread Decorating. We had lots of fun and they tasted yummy!

Christmas Letter Posting

17.12.24- Christmas letter posting.

The children all wrote an anonymous Christmas letter to someone in their class and designed an envelope.   We then gave them a random address label and we walked to the post box to post them. We can’t wait to spread some Christmas cheer when the children receive their letters over Christmas.
